New Delhi: Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces General Sheikh Mohmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday called on Vice President Hamid Ansari on Thursday, the second day of his three-day visit to India.
The crown prince and Ansari discussed friendly ties and cooperation between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India as well as ways to promote them in order to achieve common interests.
The meeting was held at the residence of the vice president on Maulana Azad Road here.
Prior to this, the crown prince held meetings with President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Earlier on Thursday, the crown prince, who arrived here on Wednesday, was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
He is being accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising cabinet ministers, senior officials and business leaders.
On Friday, he will leave for Mumbai where he will visit the Bombay Stock Exchange and meet Indian business leaders. (IANS)
