In Uttar Pradesh, cold wave and foggy conditions continue to prevail across the state and western part is most hit.
Though the average minimum night temperature has gone up a few degrees at some places, people are still shivering due to fall in day temperature and chilly winds.
Western parts are most hit where day temperature 13.9 degree Celsius was recorded at Bareilly,15.4 degree at Najbabad, 15.5 at Moradaba and 16.2 at Muzaffarnagar which are several notches below the normal.
Due to chill and fog normal routine of life has been changed. Fog is effecting road and rail traffic.
School timings have been changed in state and district authorities have instructed not to open schools before 10 in the morning.
In Bareili district Majestrate has closed all schools up to 8rth standard till January 7th.
Meanwhile Met department has forecast rain and thunderstorms very likely at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in western part of state. Weathermen have also warned of hailstorm very likely at isolated places over western Uttar Pradesh. ()
