Top police officials of southern states held an inter-state coordination meeting at Ooty in Tamil Nadu on Saturday.
The officials discussed measures to check inter-state smuggling of liquor and monitor the movement of illegal arms, explosives and suspects.
Providing logistics for the deployment of Central Armed Police Forces for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections was also discussed.
Tamil Nadu Director General of Police T.K Rajendran, his Kerala counterpart Loknath Behra, Puducherry Police chief Sundari Nanda and senior police officials from Karnataka participated in the meeting. (AIR)
