Maharashtra: Massive fire in Bhivandi near Thane

In Maharashtra, a major fire broke out in Bhivandi near Thane and five godowns were gutted in it. No casualty was reported as nobody was present in the godowns at the time of the incidence. Four fire engines and two water tankers were pressed into the service to douse the fire.

The fire broke out in paintbrush manufacturing unit in the morning around 6 in the morning and it quickly spread in other godowns as inflammable raw material was kept in the paintbrush manufacturing unit. The firemen doused the fire after more than five hours. Being a residential area people faced problems due to dark smoke from the godowns. (AIR NEWS)
