Sweets, mithais whatever you call them, all comes in different shapes and sizes and are an integral part of any Indian festival and celebration. The love and craving for sweet dishes is easily visible and it's a big business too.
However, we still have that 1% of population who are not that fond of sweet items and would try to avoid any situation where it's too much of mithais. Here are few situations only a person who is not fond of sweet dishes can relate to:
1. Open Declaration is the first tool to let others know
"Main to meetha khata he nai", even if nobody is listening to you, declaring such statements is considered the opening signs that sweets are a strict no-no for you.
2. People, especially your friends, like to forcify you to have one
"Arre ek se kya hota hai bhala"?
3. You remain at outer circles during cake cutting scenes
You know that you'll have to take that huge bite off that cake piece and to avoid that you take a vantage point to enjoy and then come back when all's done.
4. You get away from the dining table, before the desserts arrive
"That was a sumptuous meal, see you in a while" - you've been using these lines for quite sometime now.
5. You reuse all those sweet boxes
Getting a box of sweets from your friends or colleagues is reusable. Just put them in refrigerator and present them to others, relatives, other friends, maid, watchman etc.
6. More festivals means more sweets
Festivals become nightmarish only because of those piles of sweet boxes.
7. A Pinch of Sugar is enough
There's no spoonful of sugar, there's a pinch of it.
8. No diabetes! I am saving myself.
You are aware of the consequences of overdosing yourself with sweets. Too much sweet makes Jack a Diabetic. So why not choose a healthier lifestyle?
9. That time when you left home before exam
You've ran away a million times, seeing your mom bringing you 'dahi-cheeni' before
exam.
10. You've always been repulsive to movies like "Cheeni Kum" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"
11. But you also know inside your heart that a small dose wouldn’t do any harm
