In Punjab, Master Baldev Singh , MLA from Jaito constituency has resigned from the primary membership of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He has sent his resignation to AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal.
In a letter written to Kejriwal he has said that he has resigned because the party has completely given up the basic ideology and principles. He accused Kejriwal of duplicity on the Punjab river water issues and blatantly going back on the promise of Swaraj by centralising all powers with him.
He has also held responsible alleged dictatorial arrogant and autocratic style of functioning of Kejriwal for his and resignation of other senior leaders at national and state level.
Earlier former leader of opposition in Punjab Assembly, MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira has resigned from primary membership of the party. (AIR)
