Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Congress for their victory in assembly elections.
Mr. Modi also congratulated TRS Chief K.Chdrashekhar Rao for thumping win in Telangana and Mizo National Front for their impressive victory in Mizoram.
In a series of tweets, the Prime Minister said, BJP accepts people's mandate with humility.
Mr. Modi added that victory and defeat are integral part of life and today's results will further the party's resolve to serve people and work harder for the country's development.
He thanked the people of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan for giving the BJP opportunity to serve them. The Prime Minister said BJP governments in these states worked tirelessly for the people's welfare. Meanwhile, TRS is going to form the government for the second time in Telangana. The party won 88 seats out of the total 119 in the state assembly. Congress bagged 19 and AIMIM 7 seats. BJP got one and TDP two seats.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao won by over 51 thousand votes. He defeated Congress candidate Pratap Reddy from Gajwel. TRS senior leader Harish Rao won from Siddipet by over one lakh 20 thousand votes against his nearest Telangana Jana Samithi rival Bhavani Reddy. Raja Singh of the BJP won Goshamahal seat.
Results for 40-member Mizoram Assembly have also been declared where Mizo National Front has got clear majority by winning 26 seats followed by Congress 5, BJP one and Independent 8 seats. Counting is in progress in other three states.
According to the trends so far, Congress is leading in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan and is pitted in a nail-biting contest with the BJP in Madhya Pradesh.
In Mizoram, Chief Minister Lalthanhawla has lost both the seats. He has been defeated by T. J Lalnuntluanga of MNF in Champhai South constituency. He has also lost Serchip seat to Independent Lalduhoma.
Our correspondent reports, MNF supporters across the state assembled in front of various counting centres in Aizawl and other towns and were seen dancing, waving party flags, greeting and hugging each other.
In 200-member Rajasthan Assembly, Congress has bagged 99 seats, while BJP got 73. BSP won Six and RLD One. Independents have won 13 seats. Others have bagged 7.

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has won from Jhalarapatan defeating her nearest Congress rival Manvendra Singh who left BJP just before the elections. Speaker of state Assembly and BJP candidate Kailash Chandra Meghwal won from Shahpura reserved seat. He defeated his nearest rival of Congress Mahaveer Prasad by a margin of over 56000 votes.
State Congress Chief Sachin Pilot of Congress has won from Tonk defeating BJP candidate Yoonus Khan by over 54 thousand votes. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of Congress has won Sardarpura constituency defeating BJP rival Shambhu Singh Khetasar by a margin of over 44 thousand votes. Home Minister and BJP candidate Gulab Chand Kataria, Education Minister Vasudev Devnani, Women and Child development minister Anita Bhadel and Higher Education Minister Kiran Maheshwari have won their respective seats. However, P.H.E.D. Minister Sudheel Katara lost from Chorasi seat.
In Madhya Pradesh, 157 results have come in. BJP has won 69 seats and leading in 40 while Congress won 84 and leading in 30. SP got one seat.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has won from Budhni constituency. Opposition leader and Congress candidate Ajay Singh lost from Churhat, former Chief Minister and Congress leader Digvijay Singh's son Rajyavardhan Singh has won from Raghogarh. Congress candidate Sartaj Singh lost to BJP leader and assembly Speaker Sitasharan Sharma on Hoshangabad seat.
In Chhattisgarh, 41 results have been declared. Congress got 37 seats and leading in 30 while BJP bagged 4 and leading in 13.
Chief Minister Raman Singh is leading in Rajnandgaon constituency. Congress candidate and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's niece Karuna Shukla is trailing on the same seat.
Former Chief Minister and Janta Congress Chhattisgarh leader Ajit Jogi is leading on Marwahi seat and his wife Renu Jogi from Kota. State Congress President Bhupesh Baghel is leading from Patan seat.
