9 die in blast at cracker factory in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu

In Tamilnadu, nine persons have lost their lives in the blast in the cracker factory at Chengalpattu today. Chief Minister M.K.Stalin has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 3 lakh to the nearest kin of the victims who have lost their lives in the blast at the cracker factory.

He has also announced a compensation of Rs. 1 lakh to the severely injured. Many of the injured have been transferred to the Kilpauk hospital in Chennai for further treatment. The owner of the factory has been arrested in the case. (AIR NEWS)
