ITBP has initiated mid-Yatra sanitation cum Awareness Campaign in all the Yatra tracks and halting places via traditional Baltal Route of ongoing 46-day annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
An ITBP official told that teams have been deputed from Domail point onwards on Baltal Route in Central Kashmir's Ganderbal district to collect garbage on way throughout Yatra track under a full fledged campaign launched on 15th of this month.
Under the campaign, Yatris are simultaneously sensitised about the value and importance of cleanliness, hygiene and protection of ecology and environment along the trek towards holy Amarnath cave.
The ITBP teams apprise the Yatris about do's and don'ts with regard to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene along the Yatra route. The Campaign will continue till conclusion of Yatra on August 15 coinciding with Raksha Bandhan and Shravan Purnima.
