The annual 46-day Amarnath Yatra is progressing smoothly from both Baltal Ganderbal and Nunwan Pahalgam routes. On the 15th day of the pilgrimage yesterday, over 10,800 people paid obeisance at the Holy Cave.
Since the start of the yatra on the 1st of this month, over 1 lakh 93,500 devotees had darshan of Shivling at the holy cave. Official sources said, 12 pilgrims, two service providers and two security personnel have lost their lives due to various natural causes during the yatra.
The pilgrimage will conclude on the 15th of next month, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan and Shravan Purnima. (AIR NEWS)
