Amit Shah slams opposition for raising doubts over EVMs

news

BJP President Amit Shah today hit out at opposition for raising doubts over EVMs and alleged that it is a disrespect to the mandate of the people of the country.

He alleged that 22 opposition parties are tarnishing the image of India's democracy by questioning the democratic process due to their frustration of imminent defeat in the Lok Sabha polls.

In a series of tweets, Mr. Shah posed five questions to the opposition parties. He said majority of these parties questioning the reliability of EVMs have won elections sometime in the past by this system. He asked why did these parties enjoy power after winning elections if they do not believe in EVMs. He also cited Supreme Court's direction on VVPAT.

Mr. Shah also termed their demand related to election process two days ahead of counting as unconstitutional. (AIR NEWS)
