Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left for UK this morning to attend a conference with Bangladeshi envoys stationed in 15 European countries.
The conference will be inaugurated tomorrow. Our correspondent quoting PMO Bangladesh reports that the conference will discuss issues ranging from foreign policy challenges to implementation of development goals, expansion of trade and welfare of the Bangladeshi expatriates.
The conference will deliberate upon increasing trade and attracting more investment in Bangladesh.
Ms Hasina will also discuss issues related to the celebration of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's 100th birth anniversary in 2020, as well as the 50th year of the country's independence with its envoys posted in European countries.
It is Prime Minister Hasina's personal and longest ever visit abroad as a Prime Minister since she assumed office in January 2009. (AIR NEWS)
