Bharat Parv begins on virtual platform

The annual event Bharat Parv, celebrating the spirit of India, is being organised on a virtual platform www.bharatparv2021.com this year from today till 31st of January. Themed pavilions of multiple States and Union Territories will showcase their tourism destinations, cuisine, handicraft and other features. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will inaugurate Bharat Parv-2021 in the presence of Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Prahlad Singh Patel.

The Ministry of Tourism organizes Bharat Parv every year since 2016 in front of the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion of Republic Day Celebrations from 26th to 31st of January. The mega event envisages generating patriotic fervour and showcases the rich and varied cultural diversity of the country. The Bharat Parv celebrates the Essence of India.

Various Central Ministries and other organizations including Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Ayush, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Railways, Lalit Kala Academy, Archaeological Survey of India, National Museum, National Gallery of Modern Arts, media units of I&B Ministry, Khadi & Village Industries Commission and others will be displaying handicrafts, handlooms, music, dance, paintings, literary material and other features from all over the country.

The glimpses of Republic Day Parade and recorded performances of Armed forces music bands shall also be available on this virtual platform. Various Central Institutes of Hotel Management, Indian Culinary Institute will also display culinary delight from across India by showcasing videos, recipes of cuisines. This unique virtual Bharat Parv-2021 will also showcase multiple videos, films, images, brochures and other information of various organizations.

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry and its various media units have geared up for the Bharat Parv. This virtual mega event is scheduled to be held from 26th to 31st January of this month which will showcase the rich cultural diversity of the country and generate feelings of patriotism among people.

Prasar Bharati has set up its virtual stall which will showcase its efforts towards promoting Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat. Another media unit of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Bureau of Outreach and Communication will focus on the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi by exhibiting photos, videos, animation related to Swachch Bharat, Sashakt Bharat, Bapu Ke Sapno Ka Bharat’. Celebrating the diversity and spirit of India, Publication Division’s virtual pavilion will exhibit a rich display of books on art and culture, history and biographies of builders of modern India.
