Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken an early lead over Aam Aadmi Party in the initial trends of counting for Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections. According to State Election Commission, BJP is leading on 106 seats, AAP on 78, Congress on 10 and independent on 4 seats. The counting of votes for the MCD elections began at 8 this morning.
The polls for 250 wards in the national capital were held on December 4 with about 50 per cent voter turnout and a total of 1,349 candidates were in the fray. (AIR NEWS)
