In Bolivia, Interim President Jeanine Anez has asked all Ministers to resign a little more than three months before a general election. The Presidential office said in a statement, Mr. Anez would seek to fill the positions as fast as possible to maintain continuity ahead of the elections.
The decision came just hours after Communication Minister Roxana Lizarraga resigned in protest at Anez's decision to stand as a Presidential candidate in the upcoming May election.
Mr. Anez assumed the Presidency in November, two days after Mr. Evo Morales resigned following three weeks of protests against his controversial re-election in a poll. Meanwhile, at that time, Mr. Anez had said, he had no intention of standing for the full-time job. (AIR NEWS)
