Centre has urged the people not to get panic over the reported cases of Nipah Virus in Kerala as the government is leaving no stone unturned to remedy the situation.
Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said, he is personally reviewing the situation with the State Health Minister of Kerala, K. K. Shailaja on a regular basis and closely monitoring the situation. He said, the central team reviewed the public health measures with the Health Minister of Kerala and also interacted with district collector of the affected district.
An official release said, State Health Authorities has established isolation ward at Government Medical College Ernakulam. Condition of one positive case of Nipah Virus is stable and a total of 314 contacts are being followed up on daily basis. (AIR NEWS)
