NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Tuesday allowed the Enforcement Directorate to interrogate former Union minister P Chidambaram and, if required, arrest him. The former finance minister P Chidambaram was produced in the court in connection with the INX Media money laundering case lodged by the Enforcement Directorate.

The court granted permission to the probe agency to go to Tihar, where the Congress leader is currently lodged, and interrogate him. "It's not of the dignity of this person that you interrogate and arrest him here in public view, "special judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar told the ED counsel.

Chidambaram, who is in judicial custody till October 17 in the INX Media corruption case filed by the CBI, was produced before special judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar.

The ED said in its plea that it requires custodial interrogation of Chidambaram in the money laundering case related to the INX Media case.
