Cyclone Bulbul likely to hit Bangladesh tomorrow; maritime ports advised to hoist signal 4 warning

Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra in Bangladesh have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal four as cyclonic storm Bulbul is likely to hit the country between Saturday and Sunday.

According to a bulletin issued by the Meteorological department, cyclone Bulbul has centered about 820 km from Chattogram port, 755 km from Cox's Bazar, 770 km from Mongla and 740 km from Pyra port.

The cyclone may cause gusty and squally wind affecting the maritime ports of Bangladesh. The wind speed within 54 kilometers of the cyclone center was in the range of 62 km per hour to 88 km per hour.

Met department has advised all fishing boats and trawlers over north bay not to venture into sea till further notice. (AIR NEWS)
