Doctors’ strike in Karnataka disrupted services in Outpatient ward


The doctors’ strike in Karnataka today disrupted services in the Outpatient ward. At Victoria Government hospital the Resident Doctors Association members held protests outside the OPD building.

In the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences and Kidwai Cancer hospital too doctors staged protests affecting the OPD. The Health minister in the state Shivananda S Patil’s appeal to Doctors to register a token protest and then cater to the patients did not find acceptance as Doctors association held protests across the state today.

AIR Correspondent adds that the outstation patients unaware of the strike, stood watching the protests without being examined by the doctors in the OPD wards. (AIR NEWS)
