Mumbai’s special court yesterday extended the judicial custody of three women doctors, accused in the Payal Tadvi suicide case till 24th June. The court also adjourned the hearing of their bail application till 17th of this month.
The accused, Hema Ahuja, Bhakti Meher and Ankita Khandelwal attached to the B Y L Nair hospital were arrested last month for allegedly abetting Dr Payal’s suicide by passing racist remarks against her.
They have been booked under the relevant section of IPC and under Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act and the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. (AIR NEWS)
