External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will embark on a three-day official visit to Finland tomorrow. This will be his maiden visit to Finland after assuming charge as External Affairs Minister.
An official release said during the visit, the Minister will have detailed discussions with Foreign Minister of Finland, Pekka Haavisto, on a broad spectrum of bilateral relations. He will call on the President and the Prime Minister of Finland.
Dr. Jaishankar will also meet Parliamentarians and deliver a speech on "India and the World - Priorities of Indian Foreign Policy” at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs. The visit will contribute to the further strengthening of India-Finland ties.
The External Affairs Minister will also unveil the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Finland. It has been gifted by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations to the Government of Finland to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi is celebrated globally. (AIR NEWS)
