Election Commission issues notice to Congress candidate

Election Commission has issued notice to Congress candidate from Khandwa parliamentary constituency Arun Subhash Chandra Yadav for alleged violation of Model Code of Conduct.

The Commission has sought Yadav's reply within 24 hours failing which it shall take a decision without further reference to him.

The poll body had received a complaint from BJP alleging that Congress was illegally indulging in distribution of NYAY Scheme enrolment pamphlets in Khandwa, Burhanpur, and Khargone districts of Madhya Pradesh. (AIR NEWS) ()
