The global terror financing watchdog Financial Action Task Force (FATF) today decided continuation of Pakistan in the 'Grey List' and warned the country that stern action will be taken if it fails to check the flow of money to terror groups like the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). The decision was taken at the Financial Action Task Force's plenary in Paris.
The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) was established in July 1989 in Paris. The objectives of the FATF are to set standards and promote effective implementation of legal, regulatory and operational measures for combating money laundering, terrorist financing and other related threats to the integrity of the international financial system.
