Government to set up 50 new Kendriya Vidyalayas

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, CCEA has approved the setting up of 50 new Kendriya Vidyalayas all over the country.

The Vidyalayas are proposed to be opened in the Civil and Defense Sector and once they are fully functional they will provide quality education to approximately 50 thousand students.

The CCEA has also approved Phase-3A of the Mumbai Urban Transport Project. The total estimated cost of the project will be thirty thousand 849 crore rupees and is likely to be completed in five years.

CCEA has also given its approval for continuation of National AIDS Control Programme-4 beyond 12th Five Year Plan for a period of three years from April, 2017 to March, 2020.

The total outlay will be six thousand 434 crore rupees. (AIR)
