Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan says government is committed towards safety of doctors

Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan today met Resident Doctor Association of AIIMS Delhi over doctors' nationwide strike after violence against doctors in West Bengal.

He said that the government is committed towards the safety of all doctors. He appealed to the doctors to hold symbolic protests only and continue to carry out their duties. Dr Harsh Vardhan also appealed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee to not make this an issue of prestige.

He said that he will write to West Bengal CM and will also try to speak to her on this issue. Earlier, Ms Banerjee gave agitating doctors an ultimatum to resume their work and warned of strict action against them. (AIR NEWS)
