The high advisory on Vayu Cyclone has been lifted from Gujarat. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani formally announced the removal of the warning as the cyclone changed its path.
He advised senior ministers and secretaries camping in cyclone-prone districts to return their home base. Speaking to media persons in Gandhinagar, Mr Rupani said that 2 lakh 75 thousand people staying in special shelters are allowed to return their home in the afternoon. He said all the bus routes will be opened by the state transport corporation, while ports and airports will resume their work from tomorrow.
Passenger trains services are being restored gradually, while all airports in cyclone prone area became functional this morning. School Colleges are to open fully from tomorrow. Chief Minister Rupani expressed gratitude to Armed forces, Coast Guard, BSF, Meteorological department and NDRF. (AIR NEWS)
