India crosses major landmark with more than 18 Cr Cumulative Vaccination Coverage

India has crossed a major landmark by administering more than 18 Crore COVID-19 vaccine doses in the country, so far. These include over 96.27 lakh Healthcare Workers who have taken the 1st dose and more than 66 lakh Health care workers who have taken the 2nd dose, over one crore 43 lakh Frontline Workers have taken the 1st dose and more than 81 lakh front line workers have taken the 2nd dose.

The Union Health Ministry said that more than 10.79 lakh beneficiaries were inoculated with COVID-19 vaccine doses till 8 pm today. Out of which, more than 6.16 lakh beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and more than 4.62 lakh beneficiaries received their 2nd dose of the vaccine.

The Ministry said, more than 3.25 lakh beneficiaries of the age group 18 to 44 years received their first dose of COVID vaccine today and cumulatively over 42.55 lakh across 32 States and Union Territories. The Liberalised and Accelerated Phase-3 Strategy of COVID-19 Vaccination has come into force from 1st of this month. (AIR)
