US President Donald Trump in his remark said India and the US are committed to protecting their citizens from radical Islamic terrorism.
He said, both the countries have expanded defense cooperation with three billion dollar military equipment deals. Mr. Trump added that the US-India partnership has truly evolved to be stronger than ever before.
He said, US exports to India are up nearly 60 percent and exports of high-quality American energy have grown by five hundred percent.
Mr. Trump also said that both the countries are working on a blue dot network aimed at infrastructure and development projects across the region.
He announced that the US International Development Finance Corporation will be establishing a permanent presence in India and America is committed to working with India to improve development. President Trump said that he felt deeply honored by the reception received in the country.
Earlier this morning, the US President was given a ceremonial welcome at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. He and First Lady Melania Trump also paid homage to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
President Trump will hold a Press briefing later in the evening. He is slated to meet President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan this evening. A banquet will be hosted by Mr. Kovind in the visiting dignitary's honor. (AIR NEWS)
