India’s total COVID-19 vaccination coverage crosses 17 crore mark

India has administered more than 17 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine in the country so far. India launched the world’s largest Vaccination Drive on 16th January this year.

The Union Health Ministry said that more than 20 lakh 23 thousand beneficiaries were inoculated with Covid-19 vaccine doses till this morning. Out of them, nearly 8 lakh beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and around 12 lakh beneficiaries received 2nd dose of the vaccine.

The Ministry said, nearly two lakh 90 thousand beneficiaries in the age group 18 to 44 years received their first dose of COVID vaccine today and cumulatively around 18 lakh people in this age group have received their first jabs so far. (AIR)
