In Jammu and Kashmir, Zakir Musa, the so-called chief of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, a group affiliated with Al-Qaeda, was killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district last night.
A defence spokesman said, the slain terrorist was identified as Zakir Musa after the body was recovered this morning. The spokesman said, arms and ammunition were recovered from the encounter site, adding that the operation has been called off.
Security forces had launched a cordon and search operation at Dadsara village in Tral and a gunfight broke out when the terrorists tried to escape. (AIR NEWS)
