Kanimozhi insists for compensation for victims of the police firing in Anti-Sterlite agitation

Ms Kanimozhi, DMK MP from Thoothukudi constituency of Tamil Nadu today insisted that the victims of the police firing against the agitators in the Anti-Sterlite agitation in her constituency be suitably compensated.

Raising the issue at Lok Sabha during the zero hours the DMK member said that the case has been covered by the state government and even the human rights enquiry was closed based on the state government’s report. She also said the injured in the police firing could not get proper treatment as the compensation was inadequate. (AIR NEWS)
