Madrid Spain Masters tournament: PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth enter quarterfinals

In Badminton, P V Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth have entered the singles quarterfinals of Madrid Spain Masters tournament.

In women's singles, PV Sindhu defeated Indonesia’s Putri Kusuma Wardani, 21-14, 21-16. She will now face Mia Blichfeldt of Denmark today.

Akarshi Kashyap crashed out losing to Natsuki Nidaira of Japan, 13-21, 8-21.

In men's singles, Kidambi Srikanth registered a straight-game win over compatriot B Sai Praneeth 21-15, 21-12. He will take on Kenta Nishimoto of Japan in the quarterfinal today.

However, Kiran George and Priyanshu Rajawat crashed out of the men’s singles. (AIR NEWS)
