The monsoon session of Uttar Pradesh assembly will begin today. During the seven-day session, the state government will seek the supplementary budget for the current 2019-20 fiscal in the assembly on July 23.
Although on the first day of the monsoon session today there will be no business due to obituary references. The government will table the first supplementary budget on July 23 and it is likely to be passed by the House after the debate.
The Session is likely to be stormy as the opposition has geared up to corner the government over issues like law and order, hate crime and flood in eastern UP districts and Terai region of the state.
An all-party meeting was held yesterday which was attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, leaders of SP, BSP, Congress, Apna Dal and Suheldeo Bhartiya Samaj Party.
The Speaker Hridaya Narayan Dixit sought the cooperation of the opposition parties for the smooth conduct of the proceedings of the house. (AIR NEWS)
