Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at City Park in Brasilia, Brazil today. In a tweet, he said glad to learn about the impact of Gandhian values and philosophy on the local communities. Mr. Muraleedharan reached Brazil yesterday on a two-day visit. This is India's first high-level visit to the country since the conclusion of the country’s presidential election last week.
During his visit, the Minister will attend the Solemn Session on 75 years of India’s Independence, which will be held in the Brazilian Parliament. Mr. Muraleedharan will also address the Brazilian Parliamentarians, both from the upper and lower house, representatives of the Diplomatic Corps and International Organizations and representatives of the Brazilian Government and India.
