Vice President M.Venkaiah Naidu said the National Education Policy-2020 (NEP) will revolutionise education in the country, making it more accessible and inclusive.
Addressing the students of a school at Ooty in Tamil Nadu today Mr Naidu said the Centre is making all efforts to make quality education accessible to all. He observed that NEP seeks to restructure the educational institutions and orient them towards the challenges of the knowledge economy.
The Vice President observed that India stands poised on the threshold of becoming one of the front-ranking nations in the world and its rich demographic dividend should be leveraged to the country’s advantage.
Mr Naidu asked the schools to focus on fostering all-round growth of students’ personality and also to provide the ambience and facilities for sports and games. The Vice President highlighted the fact that the knowledge the students had acquired has the power to change the world and urged them to be a part of the mission to build a new, vibrant India.
