Newly elected MPs to be accommodated in Western court & newly built Annexe, State Bhawan

The Lok Sabha Secretariat has done away with system of transit accommodation for newly elected MPs in hotels. They will be accommodated in Western court and its newly built Annexe and various State Bhawan in the national capital.

This was informed by Lok Sabha Secretary General, Snehlata Shrivastava while briefing media in New Delhi about the arrangements made for the members of 17th Lok Sabha. She said, the Returning Officers in all Parliamentary Constituencies have already been informed about the arrangements being made by the secretariat for the newly elected members like accommodation and telephone facilities.

The newly elected members will be immediately issued Permanent Identity Cards on their arrival in Parliament House unlike earlier when they were issued temporary passes.

Guide Posts have also been set up at IGI Airport and Railway Stations in Delhi to receive them on their arrival. (AIR NEWS)
