In Arunachal Pradesh, malaria positive cases have gone down from 6080 in 2014 to 108 cases in 2019, with no malarial deaths reported since 2017.
This was informed during the three-day state-level review meeting on the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme which began Yesterday at Ziro in Lower Subansiri district.
Arunachal government has targeted eliminating malaria by 2025, five years ahead of the national target. The state has recorded 44 cases of Japanese Encephalitis so far, with 38 cases from East Siang District alone. (AIR NEWS)
