In the Philippines, one person has been killed as typhoon Kammuri made landfall today.
It brought heavy rains that prompted the suspension of air travel and government offices in the capital, Manila, and warnings of floods and storm.
Local governments evacuated some 225,000 people ahead of the arrival the Typhoon overnight.
Kammuri is the 20th typhoon to hit the country this year.
It packed winds of 150 kilometre per hour and gusts of up to 205 kilometre per hour, damaging some homes, structures and felling trees and signage in urban areas. (AIR)
