PM Modi to reply on Motion of Thanks on President's Address today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply in Rajya Sabha today to the debate on Motion of Thanks on President's Address. Replying to the debate in the Lok Sabha yesterday, Mr Modi asserted that there is no place for corruption in the country and the government will continue its fight against it.

The Prime Minister said Government is committed towards ensuring Ease of Living for all its citizens and urged everyone to work towards creating a New India. Mr Modi said the government and the opposition have to work together to fulfil the dream of a strong, safe, developed and inclusive nation.

Mr Modi said, after many years, the people of the country gave a strong mandate and re-elected the NDA government. He said it shows that the people are thinking about the betterment of the country over themselves and the spirit is commendable.

The Prime Minister said the NDA government is moving in the right direction, without diversion or dilution. Referring to the severe water crisis, the Prime Minister requested all MPs and NGOs to propagate awareness about the need to conserve water.

He expressed gratitude to all the MPs for taking part in the debate and making it meaningful. Later, the House adopted the Motion of Thanks on President's Address. Participating in the debate in Rajya Sabha, BJP MP Vinay Sahasrabuddhe listed the government’s initiatives taken in different sectors and dismissed opposition questioning of NDA schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.

He said under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is registering its new identity across the world. Digvijay Singh of Congress questioned Mr Modi’s slogan- Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas alleging that the seeds of communalism are being sown in the country.
