Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Antony Albanese watched the first play of the fourth cricket test match of the Border Gavaskar trophy in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
Both Prime Ministers inaugurated the friendship hall of fame which showcases the rich history of India-Australia Cricket Contests. Earlier, both the leaders handed over test caps to their respective test captains and cheered the players.
The event was organised to commemorate the 75 years of cricket Friendship this year. Huge crowd was gathered at the stadium to witness the historic match and to cheer up their teams. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, CM Bhupendra Patel, BCCI Chief Jay Shah were also present on the occasion.
Later, PM Narendra Modi held meeting with the higher party authorities at Rajbhavan in Gandhinagar. (AIR NEWS)
