PM says, Govt's ultimate objective is to achieve 'Ease of living'

Addressing the nation on Independence day Prime Minster Narendra Modi made a slew of significant announcements including, doubling of farmer income by 75th year of independence, providing every poor a pucca house and electricity connection to every family.

Mr Modi said, every village should have optical fibre network and broadband connectivity besides facility of long distance education.

Stressing on the growing necessity of digital mode of payment in recent times, he said, digital payment platforms are evolving strong and digital payments for our village shops, small outlets and smaller city malls should also be encouraged.

Mr Modi said, stress should be laid on Blue Economy and farmers should become exporters and every district of the country should be an export hub. He said, value-added goods from every districts should reach global markets.

Talking about the current scenario of business in the country, the Prime Minister said, a lot of progress has been made towards Ease of doing business and country aims to reach the Top Five in the global ranking. He said, there will be a need for several reforms to achieve the same.

He said, the government has only completed ten weeks into office, and already 60 laws have been repealed with an aim to bring about Ease of Living. He said, Ease of Living is imperative for an Independent India and Centre is committed to focus on Ease of Living and wants to take it ahead. (AIR NEWS)
