Sensex, Nifty climb more than half percent amid positive cues from global stocks

Domestic Equity benchmarks witnessed gains for third session in a row in afternoon trade today. The Sensex and Nifty, both, climbed more than half a per cent amid positive cues from global stocks.

Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange climbed 215 points to trade at 39,807 a short while ago. Nifty at National Stock Exchange also surged 62 points at 11,909. At the forex market, the rupee rose three paise to around 69 rupees and 13 paise against the US dollar in afternoon deals. (AIR NEWS)
