Sri Lanka apprehends 7 Indian fishermen over trespassing

Sri Lankan Navy is reported to have apprehended seven Indian fishermen on charges of trespassing into its territorial waters. The seven from Tamil Nadu have set out for fishing in two country boats yesterday.

It is said that they were fishing near Delft Island early this morning when the Navy personnel took them under their custody. They have been taken to the Kankesanthurai Naval camp along with the two country boats for further inquiry. (AIR NEWS)
