Preparations are almost complete at Ranchi in Jharkhand where the main event of International Yoga day will be held tomorrow. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform Yoga along with 28,000 thousands people at the Prabhat Tara ground in the city tomorrow morning. The venue, having an area of about seven lakh square feet, has been divided into 47 blocks. Special attention has been given on convenience of the participants and overall security.
This year, the event will also highlight the concerns regarding the environment. Khadi yoga mats will be used in place of rubber mats. The theme of this year's event is 'Yoga for Heart'.
AIR correspondent reports that there is visible enthusiasm in every districts of Jharkhand for tomorrow's International Yoga Day. Yoga related program are being organised in various district since 15th of this month. Various educational institutions, government departments, public sector undertakings and voluntary organisations participations are being seen and reported in local media.
Today a 5- days exhibition by RoB of Government of India was inaugurated by Jharkhand Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi. Tomorrow the pass holders participants can reach the venue from 3 to 5 in the morning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive Ranchi today night and he will take part in Yoga activities tomorrow morning along with 28 thousands participants on the occasion of International Yoga Day. The program will start at 6:30 in the morning.
In the Ladakh division of Jammu and Kashmir, all arrangements have been put in place at both defence establishments and civilian areas to celebrate the International Yoga day. AIR correspondent reports that elaborate arrangements have been made by the defence establishment To celebrate the International Yoga Day at the Siachen Base camp. Yoga instructor Phunchok Ladakhi will train over 200 soldiers about Yoga during the session. Indo Tibetan Border Police is organising yoga session for its jawans on the banks of the Indus River at Shey village in Leh town. Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre at Leh in its campus has planed a session for Yoga enthusiasts coming from different parts of the country.
In Himachal Pradesh, the state level function will be held at the Historic ridge maidan in Shimla. AIR correspondent reports that yoga rehearsals are being conducted in various institutions including schools and colleges across the state to make the International Yoga day a successful event. Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur along with other dignitaries will also participate at state level function scheduled to be held at ridge maidan in Shimla at 6: am. On this occasion, yoga demonstration by divyanng children will be the main attraction. A large number of local people, students including tourists are likely to perform yoga aasans on this occasion.
In Madhya Pradesh, the AYUSH Department is organising, 'Yoga near your home' program to mark the day. AIR correspondent reports that yoga programmes have also been organized in various places of the state.
The yoga in the Raj Bhavan will begin at 6 a.m. It will include more than a thousand people including students and staff of Barkatullah University, Women and Child Development Department, dignitaries and residents of Raj Bhavan campus. Meanwhile, the AYUSH department has invited Yoga-trained civilians to join Yoga as volunteers in the program 'योगाभ्यास घर के पास' means ‘Yoga near to your Home.’ The citizens of the state can also participate in yoga program organized by the AYUSH department at the nearest hospital, college and other places.
UAE is all geared up to celebrate the 5th edition of the International Yoga Day. Spread over three days, thousands of Yoga enthusiasts are expected to unfold their mats on today, tomorrow and the day after in different emirates of the UAE. AIR correspondent reports that thousands of UAE residents will be hitting their yoga mats to join the celebrations of the International Yoga Day led by the Indian Embassy and the Indian Consulate in Dubai supported by the Government of the UAE.
In Abu Dhabi, the event will be held at Umm Al Emarat Park this evening where Shaikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, the Minister of Tolerance of UAE, would be the chief guest. Dubai which encourages a healthy lifestyle would host a grand event at the Zabeel Park tomorrow where thousands of yoga lovers cutting across nationalities are expected to participate.
Dubai Sports Council along with Isha Foundation, Art of Living, Rajayoga Meditation Centre , Hearetfullness Yoga are active partners in promoting the International Yoga Day in UAE. In Sharjah too a mass Yoga programme has been organized at the famous Cricket Stadium tomorrow. The Emirates of Ajman , Umm Al Quain and Ras Al Khaimah are also hosting special events to mark the International Day of Yoga. (AIR NEWS)
