news

Commuters may face hardships in the national capital today as transport bodies have called for a day-long strike to protest against various provisions of the amended Motor Vehicle Act, including a steep hike in penalties for various traffic-related offenses.

The United Front of Transport Associations (UFTA) has called for the strike. Many schools in the national capital will remain closed today while some schools have asked parents to make alternate travel arrangements for students to reach school since school buses will not ply due to the strike.
