Opposition members created uproar also in the Lok Sabha over claim of US President Donald Trump with regard to Jammu and Kashmir. Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Congress leader Manish Tewari said, it is like a blow to the unity of India.
Mr. Tewari demanded that the Prime Minister should come to the house and clarify whether such a conversation took place between the two leaders over mediation on Jammu and Kashmir.

Responding to it, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar reiterated that no such request of mediation was made by Mr. Modi to the US President.
