Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to visit Sonbhadra today to meet family members of the victims of the firing incident which claimed 10 lives on 17th July.
AIR correspondent reports that after meeting the family members of the victims in Ummah village of Ghorawal Tehsil, Chief Minister will go to district hospital Sonbhadra where he will meet villagers who got injured in this incident. Later he will also address a press conference at the collectorate.
Ten people were killed and several sustained injuries on July 17 in an incident of firing over a land dispute at ummah village.
Till now, 29 criminals have been arrested in this case including the prime suspect.
Yesterday, Sonbhadra District Magistrate Ankit Agarwal, disbursed a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the kin of victims of the incident.
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi also met the families of the victims yesterday and announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the kin of the deceased from the Congress party. She also urged the state government to offer Rs 25 lakh as compensation to the victims. (AIR NEWS)
