Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has said that the development paradigm should be changed and aimed for climate resilient development. He was speaking at the 4th edition of annual Asia-Pacific Forum on Urban Resilience and Adaptation in New Delhi today.
He said new urban infrastructure should be low-carbon, green and climate resilient. Mr Naidu said all the city administrations should focus on protecting local water bodies and take steps for conserving scarce water resources.
The objective of the three-day forum is to share and learn about good urban resilience practices and showcase innovative ideas, solutions and initiatives. The event was attended by mayors and representatives from different countries. (AIR NEWS)
