Kolkata: The West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Examinations (WBHSC) has announced the revised dates of class 12 board examination on its official website yesterday. As per the revised schedule, the exam will commence on June 29 and conclude on July 6, 2020.
The final exam schedule will be notified later. Earlier, the Class 12 exams were postponed due to nation-wide lockdown. West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) postponed the exams which were scheduled to be held on March 23, March 25, and March 27, 2020.
The announcement was done by West Bengal Education Minister, Partha Chatterjee along with the announcement regarding the exams has also stated that students should wear masks, carry sanitizers & maintain social distancing in exam halls.
As per to the reports this year 2 lakh, students appeared for Class 12 exams and the remaining subject which is left to be conducted are Physics, Nutrition, Education, Accountancy, Chemistry, Economics, Journalism & Mass Communication, Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic, French and Statistics, Geography, Costing and Taxation, Home Management, and Family Resource Management.
Along with this, the board has asked schools to promote students of class XI for this current academic year. For this, they need to send marks of already completed examinations of Class XI in the format specified earlier by the Council and delivered as per the norms of the past year within June 22.
