Kolkata: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has successfully conducted the class 10th board exam. The exam was conducted from 18 to 27 February 2020 and the timings are from 11.45 a.m. to 3 p.m.
As per the source, this year around 10.15 lakh students have appeared for the exam out of which 5,76,009 are girl candidates, which shows a sharp increase in the number of female students appearing for the Madhyamik examinations. The Madhyamik exam was conducted in around 2,839 centers across the state.
Students who have appeared for the exam can now check their results online, which is scheduled to be released in the last week of May. 2020. Last year the WB Madhyamik Result 2020 results were declared on 21 May 2019 and the overall passing percentage for the exam was 86.07%.

About the board
The Board of Secondary Education was established in 1951 under an Act of the State Legislature called the West Bengal Secondary Education Act of 1950.
The Board was inaugurated by the then Governor of West Bengal Dr.K.N.Katju on 3rd May 1951 and the Board started functioning under the Chairmanship of Sri Apurba Kumar Chanda. (INDIA ONLINE)
